Dialawg.com gives professionals a secure way to store and manage their critical messages online. The user can start with an email program or web based email service to send messages to Dialawg. Files can be attached so everything is stored together. The user can add participants to a Dialawg whenever they like. These individuals are given access to everything within the conversation. The user can monitor when participants view new conversation additions and send reminder notifications when a response is needed. Dialawg sends the user a notification each time a revision is made. The user can also compare changes made to documents side by side. The user can complete the negotiating process with a conference call and have participants sign forms. Dialawg allows users to archive their conversations so they can return to them at any time. A self destruction timer is also included so the user can set a specific date to have the content permanently deleted.

Dialawg was launched into alpha in April of 2009. It is a part of Carmel, Indiana based Dialawg LLC. The application was intended to help professionals who frequently handle very sensitive information, such as negotiations of a settlement or a discussion between a doctor and patient about a medical condition. The application has received some positive attention for the niche it manages to fill thanks to its high security system and convenient features.

Dialawg is a unique application that offers a better way to keep private conversations away from those who are not authorized to view them. The application gives the user a way to start a dialogue with clients, patients and others. Users can share documents and verify signatures. The application even includes a handy self destruct timer that allows the user to keep their archives tidy and remove information that requires deletion after a specific time period.

Dialawg keeps things organized so the user can easily find what they need and share the information they need to pass on quickly. The user can add an image to go with their profile. Items are listed by date and include the sender’s name, item description and how long ago it arrived in the user’s inbox. The dashboard contains a great deal of information, especially once the user begins accumulating a history of conversations. Still, the clean design keeps everything in its place so the user can retrieve documents and data easily.

A new user can scroll all the way down the homepage to find a blue “Sign up” link under the matching header. Doing so takes the user to the registration form. The first form asks for the user’s email address. Once that has been submitted, the user is asked to provide a password and enter a random word to verify that they are human. After checking the terms of service box in the lower, left hand corner of the form, the user can submit their information. The user is logged in and can begin providing personal information to go with their profile.

Dialawg offers users three membership options. The first is a Free account that includes most features, the ability to begin up to two Dialawgs per month, 1 GB of storage space and the ability to receive unlimited Dialawgs. The Lite account costs $24 per month and includes up to 10 monthly Dialawgs, 5 GBs of storage space, up to 10 compares each month, up to 10 Dialawg participants, 30 minute limit on conference calls and the ability to upload multiple files at once. The Pro account costs $72 per month and includes unlimited Dialawgs, unlimited storage space, unlimited doc compares, up to 50 Dialawg participants, 100 minute limit per conference call, automatic scheduled reports, customized front desk and access for Outlook, IMAP and iPhones.

Dialawg.com is intended primarily for professionals that need to keep their documentation and conversations private. The site specifically lists attorneys, doctors, accountants, project managers and insurance professionals. There are many convenient tools that allow users to interact with clients, partners and other professionals online without any security issues that can compromise sensitive data. Notifications also help users stay on top of new developments and discussions.
